Adventures Of A High School Drop Out: Day 149

So I’d say that I’ve come to the conclusion that 99% of people on this planet are fucking morons and that any form of intelligent life here is doomed, but let’s face it: I came to that conclusion long ago.

The picture above shows someone asking me if I dropped out of school…and all my fucking statuses throughout the month of May answering that same question time and time again. It wouldn’t have even been that big of a deal (because explaining yourself five times and still having dumbshits ask questions is just the norm for me), but it’s more the fact that SHE WENT TO THE SAME FUCKING SCHOOL AS ME.

We were fucking classmates last year, and we would’ve been this year except OH, I FUCKING DROPPED OUT. School has been in session for almost three months, yet this bitch didn’t even realize I wasn’t around until this afternoon!

Either people are just getting dumber and dumber or I was just really fucking irrelevant in highschool. Actually, both of those are plausible theories.

So for all those who aren’t quite up to speed, yes, I dropped out of school. Maybe I should run a blog about it to get my point across…oh wait…

Adventures Of A High School Drop Out: Day 124

I feel so bad for all my friends who still have to endure the tortures of school. It’s not fair. I’m in a position where dropping out was semi-easy (not on my parents, of course), but there are so many people who are forced to go either because their families force them, or they just want to get into college. Whatever the reason, I still feel terrible that they have to go.

These aren’t the type of people who can go to school with all their friends and fit in. These are the people that get shoved into lockers and are harassed on a daily basis for just trying to be themselves.

I left school because I couldn’t stand it. I couldn’t stand to sit through another class with people who literally HATED me for no reason. There would be stupid assholes who would throw shit at me (I can’t even count the number of colored pencils I’ve had pelted at my head), they’d insult me; they treated me like I had no right to exist.

And of course they treat my friends like that too because we were the group of “outcasts”, and the only difference this year is that I won’t be there and they’ll be all alone. But I can’t go back there. Even if it’s for them, because let’s face it, the only reason we even were friends is because no one else wanted us.

School is less about education and more about who’s popular and cool, and kids that fall short of the “in crowd” are treated like they don’t matter; like their lives have no relevance to them. But they do. And as much as I’d like to say that the underdog always wins and that once highschool is over things get better, they really don’t. I’ve been out of school for about three, maybe four months now, and my life is still just as irrelevant as it ever was.

Not trying to be depressing, just stating what I know from personal experience.

Half of getting anywhere in life is believing in yourself…the other half? People believing in you.

To some degree it doesn’t even matter whether or not you have confidence in yourself if those around you think you’re already a failure. Even trying at anything just seems like a waste of time when you’re faced with the people who are supposed to support and love you unconditionally but don’t.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and PhotosLong story short, it sucks and it makes being a high school drop out that much harder, even if you dropped out for a good reason (like being able to breathe normally without the weight of world collapsing on your head).

Adventures Of A High School Drop Out: Day 55

Why I can’t go to college:

•I never graduated high school

•I wouldn’t pay tuition

•I wouldn’t go to class

•Even if I did go to class, I’d never do any of the assignments

•If I ever did the work, it’d all be plagiarized

•I’d eventually burn down my dorm in frustration

•I’d have the locks changed so my roommate couldn’t live with me

•I would key the professors’ cars

•I’d probably be expelled within the first week
